To increase visibility and enhancing public awareness, a reputable European financial institution is seeking for a high calibre communications professional to join the regional communications team.
Reporting to the functional head, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic integrated communications initiatives for a dedicated business unit, covering external and internal channels in the APAC region. You will act as the key media contact, managing daily media alerts, develop press materials, interview pitches, organise press interviews and conferences. Your other responsibilities are but not limited to: identify relevant industry awards, speaking and sponsorship opportunities; lead the organisation and implementation of internal and external events; and support other communications projects as and when required.
The ideal candidate should be a Bachelor Degree holder in Communications / Journalism / Marketing or a related discipline, with at least 6 years of regional corporate marketing and communications experience, with strong connections with local/regional as well as trade financial media in Hong Kong. Candidates with business knowledge in Corporate and Investment Banking are highly sought after. You are a self-starter who can work independently as well as collaboratively to contribute to team efforts; committed, organized, detail-oriented; and be able to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders. You have excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills. Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is mandatory.
