An established statutory organization is seeking for a dynamic and experienced construction management professional to head up the Facilities Management division.
Reporting to management and leading a sizeable technical professional, you will be responsible for overall planning, direction and monitoring of conditions related to its venue’s physical, structural, and operational components as well as FF&E, including but not limited to HVAC system and the roof system and cladding, required in the proper maintenance and operation of the property. As a division head, you will also be responsible for the planning, budgeting, monitoring the energy consumption of the venue and to improve energy efficiency. In addition, you are required to provide sound strategic advice and recommendations to senior management; managing internal and external key stakeholders. Other responsibilities are but not limited to: ensuring health and safety requirements and all facilities comply with legislations; provide “green” leadership and acts Green by incorporating energy-saving and environmental-friendly procedures into daily work.
The ideal candidate should be a degree holder in Construction Management, or a Registered Architect or Registered Engineer and/or a related discipline, with at least 15 years’ experience in construction project management. Sound experience in basic design and good knowledge in construction techniques are expected. Candidates from quasi-government, statutory body, and/or large corporation are highly regarded. You are a strong and inspiring leader, driven, resourceful, self-motivated, multi-tasking, analytical, and with strong influencing and negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills are required. Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese) are mandatory. Mandarin is a plus.
